Chelsea close in 3rd signing, agent arrive in London to discuss possible £54m deal

The beginning of the summer for Chelsea has been about speculations surrounding the future of former boss Antonio Conte, but with that finally corrected with the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as their new head-coach, the Blues are preparing ahead for a new season under the Italian gaffer.

Report reaching us today is claiming the Premier League 2016/17 winners are currently locked in talks to sign Brazilian winger Bernand.

The report is claimed according to Premium Sport journalist, Anderson Marques that the winger’s agents are currently in London to hold talks over the client joining Chelsea this summer.

It’s also believed likes of AC Milan, Juventus, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in the services of the 25-year-old, and have even made an approach, but the meeting with Chelsea is taken as a big sign.

The winger has let his current deal with Shakhtar Donetsk expire this summer, so he will be joining Chelsea as a free agent.

It was reported on Thursday via a Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte that despite other clubs interest in him, the Brazilian is keen on joining Chelsea this summer as he wants to play in London.

Now if the two sides are backing out on signing the winger, it should mean that talks with Chelsea over a possible deal should be at an advanced stage.

  1. West Ham and Spurs are also London sides. The lad wants to come to Chelsea as he has ambition and obviously has a bit of class about him!

  2. Im a Chelsea supporter but these days Chelsea make noises about signing players but do nothing. When Sarri signed, the comments were about ‘pushing along with transfers’, who have we signed nearly four weeks later. The point is Chelsea are a selling club these days.
