Midfielder Luka Modric is said to be a considerable option for the Premier League club Chelsea.
Reports as garnered from The Metro claims the Blues are making advance move for the 27yr old ace when the transfer window re-opens in January as a potential replacement to Jorginho.
Given that Modric was part of the Croatian team that got to the 2018 World Cup finals, and coupled with his four times UCL title with Los Blancos, joining Chelsea would be a huge turnaround for the London club in chase of future European competitions base on Modric’s experience.
Modric could see a pay hike on his current £80,000 per week with Real Madrid as The Metro claims the Blues are planning on increasing this when he joins in January.
Real Madrid are not planning on parting ways with the Croatian midfielder and anything that would force his move out of the club will have to be an hefty figure.
