Premier League giants Chelsea, have tagged James Rodriguez as a potential signing in the summer when the transfer window opens.
Following an impressive loan spell with German giants Bayern Munich, where he played for two seasons. Real Madrid recalled their midfielder last summer and has so far racked up seven appearances in all competitions this season.
But with the Spanish giants forever being linked with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen, reports have it that Rodriguez will push for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu should the signing ever materialise.
Reports coming from Spain, via Sports Mole, also claims that the London giants, Chelsea, have tabled an offer to the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, who have had deals with the club time and time again.
Ever since his return to the Bernabeu, the Columbia international has put up quite an outstanding performance but is still being played from the bench under Zinedine Zidane, who sometimes hand him a place in the starting spot and sometimes don’t. Rodriguez is not pleased with his selection and will keep looking for offers elsewhere should Eriksen’s move ever materialise.
Chelsea, on the other hand, will finally be free of their two-window transfer ban in the summer and will be able to make complete transfers when the season ends.
