Juventus have reportedly set an asking price of around €60m for Gonzalo Higuain, who had been linked with a move to Chelsea and AC Milan this summer.
Higuain enjoyed another superb season last campaign with the Serie A champions, netting 23 goals in 50 appearances to registered together a 55 goals in 105 appearances for Juve since he joined the club from Napoli in 2016.
Higuain’s goals played a crucial role in the club’s abilitty to maintain their domestic dominance in the league, if reports bear fruits, the Argentine’s days are numbered in Italy.
Report according to Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting both Milan and Chelsea are interested in signing the striker but will have to spend around €60m if they wish to sign him as the Old Lady will not accept anything less.
Should a move for the striker materialise this summer, it will offer Maurizio Sarri an opportunity to reunite with his former player and the Italian boss is well aware of his potentials given his prolific record at a high level over the years.
However, based on this report, it remains to be seen whether or not Chelsea or AC Milan are willing to meet Juventus’ €60m demands for the striker.
The Serie A are looking to balance the books having spent large on Ronaldo’s signing from Real Madrid, and even with likes of aulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic, Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi all in contention for first-team opportunities, it’s hard seeing Higuain registering a regular this coming season.
