Premier League giants, Liverpool and Chelsea have been reported to have shown interests in AFC Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook as a potential signing in the summer transfer window.
Despite both League rivals having plenty options in their midfield, the long term rivals are still looking to strengthen up their team from the midfield, which has been described as the powerhouse on a team, in the summer.
The report coming from Daily Mail, via Sports Mole, understands that both teams are yet to table an official bid for the midfielder, who has been in and out of the Cherries starting lineup this season.
With nine games played so far in the Premier League this season, Cook will be looking to regain his spot in Eddie Howe’s team after being sidelined for a long period.
The 22-year-old, who joined the Cherries from Leeds United in the summer of 2016, the current contract with the club is set to expire in the summer of 2022. He is noted to be worth €20 million, according to Transfer Markt.
Since his arrival at the Vitality Stadium, the midfielder has managed to appear in 61 games for Bournemouth.
With a €20 million price tag which seems considerable for a player like him, Liverpool and Chelsea will be battling it out when the summer transfer window finally bursts open.
