According to reports, Chelsea and Liverpool are both interested in signing Brescia star Sandro Tonali to strengthen their midfield with a long-term option.
Tonali has wasted not time in making an impression with the Serie B side, as he’s netted two goals with five assists in 20 league outings so far this season.
Tonali’s impressive performance has seen him earned comparisons with Italy and Juventus legend Andrea Pirlo, given the duo play a similar trend of football and share many similar characteristics in terms of their style of play. Further, both have come through the Brescia youth ranks.
That said, it’s yet unknown whether or not the two Premier League giants are willing to splash out on him, as although the talent is already there, but breaking the bank to sign a young player who has yet to prove himself at the highest level looks a very risky move.
It’s claimed according to The Sun that, both Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in him, although it’s added that he has a €50m valuation from Brescia.
Chelsea already have in their rank Jorginho playing a similar role, but Liverpool are desperately in need for a player of his calibre and a move to Anfield would make more sense.
Either way, to leave the Serie B club would be determine by Tonali as if is to move, he joins a club willing to play him often and give him a prominent role in order to continue his development by gaining experience with regular playing time.
