According to new reports, AS Monaco manager Thierry Henry is hoping to use his contacts in London to lure Michy Batshuayi to his side when the window opens in January.
The Belgian striker has had an unsuccessful loan spell at Valencia so far this season and the La Liga club according to reports, are considering cutting his season-long loan deal short.
Should Valencia do so, then Henry is ready to swoop in and take Batshuayi for the remainder of the season to Monaco, who are seriously struggling this season.
Henry has worked with Batshuayi during his time as the assistant manager of Belgium and could use his personal relationship to convince the striker to move to France.
Henry’s side are currently second to last in the table with only 13 points and they need to pick up some victories quickly.
Chelsea are reportedly speaking to several other clubs regarding Batshuayi, with fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace said to be very interested in securing his services.
