Inter Milan have been installed the latest club to join the race to sign Chelsea flop Alvaro Morata this summer, according to reports in the British media.
Website, Goal.com, as reported by The Sun, claimed that the Serie A giants are keen on making a move for the Spaniard, who has struggled in his first season at Chelsea.
The 25-year-old signed for Chelsea last summer and initially made a strong start to life at the Bridge, but his form fainted off in the second part of the season after he suffered a back injury midway through the campaign.
It looks set to be another summer of uncertainty over his future at Chelsea, with Antonio Conte’s future also up in the air and a number of transfers in both directions likely to be made for the Blues.
According to the same report, Inter Milan are now prepared to battle it out with Italian rivals AC Milan and Juventus for the signature of Morata this summer.
Whether there is any truth in this reports that Morata could leave Chelsea this summer remains to be seen.
Chelsea, however, managed to end the season on a high when they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium last weekend.
