Celtic former player and turned football pundit Chris Sutton has hinted on Twitter that he would find it surprising seeing his former side selling defender Kieran Tierney this summer amid reported interest from Everton.
Report according to The Scottish Sun reveals that the Toffees could launch a £25million bid for the Scotland international left-back in the next 72 hours.
It is believed that the Premier League club may consider offering Tierney a contract worth in the region of £60,000-a-week as they’re keen on securing move for him as a long-term successor to Leighton Baines at Goodison Park.
Sutton, however, took to his personal Twitter account when asked about speculations surrounding Tierney’s future.

Sutton’s right to question Celtic’s stance regarding speculations surrounding Tierney’s future at the club. The full-back is clearly a Celtic supporter through and through, who is achieving his dream by helping Brendan Rodgers’ side dominate in the league domestically.
Since making his way into the Bhoys first-team fold, he hasn’t looked back and has been an integral part of Celtic’s strong defence ever since.
He managed to chip in a remarkable 11 assists in all competitions last season and the Scotland international is rightfully regarded as one of the best young British defenders. There is no questioning the 21-year-old’s loyalty to his boyhood club, but sooner or later the interest from the riches of the Premier League was going to come.
