According to reports, Liverpool have been linked with a stunning £158m bid to sign Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio this summer.
Reports according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo says Jurgen Klopp’s side have made an audacious bid to sign Asensio to Liverpool this summer.
It’s believed the Merseyside are “very much” keen on securing the service of the winger this summer and could very much sign the Spaniard this summer.
Although, with Real Madrid believed to have “reject the offer in principle” for Asensio, who the Express claims he earns £75,000 a week at Bernabeu, they may be forced to “study” the offer.
Asensio’s agent, Horacio Gaggioli says the 13th-time Champions League winner have already rejected two offers for the skilled winger last month.
He told Cadena SER as follows:
“Madrid have received two offers for Marco Asensio, up to €150m (£131m), but the club rejected them.
“He has an extraordinary future.
“You can imagine that they (the offers) come from England because they can afford it without any problems.
“They could even raise it.”
In 91 appearances across all competition for Real Madrid, Asensio have netted 21 goals with some notable goals against Barcelona and against top teams in the Champions League.
It would be interesting seeing Asensio leave Real Madrid for more competition elsewhere and if does join the Reds this summer, it remains to be seen how he will lineup with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
