According to reports, Premier League giant Arsenal are currently in a race to sign in playmaker Kerem Demirbay this summer.
The 25-year-old, who plys his trade with German club Hoffenheim, helped the club to a sixth position in the League table this season prompting Arsenal to see him as a potential Aaron Ramsey’s replacement.
Demirbay has been prolific for the club this season having found the back of the net four times and further creating eight assits in the Bundesliga this season.
The Hoffenheim’s midfielder is reported to have a fee worth £22 million in his release cluase contracted with the club and the Gunners is not the only club gunning for his signature.
According to German outlet Bild, Arsenal have made an official contact with Hoffenheim over the sale of their key player amd will be willing to meet the player’s release clause.
Welshman Aaron Ramsey will be leaving the club at the end of season as a free agent and will be joining up Italian giant Juventus in the summer. Gunners’ head coach Emery is reported to be keen on finding a player to fill the void when the Wales International leaves.
Late 2018, several reports claimed that Unai Emery told the Gunners board to call off their contract extension deal being offered to Ramsey to extend his stay but the Spanish manager insists he will sign a better replacement to the club.
However, the search for a better replacement for Ramsey is proving to be difficult with the club also having some financial issues.
