Ramsey contract talks ongoing. Arsenal hopeful of agreement with Sampdoria for Torreira but nothing signed, no player agreement/medical – decided once #URU finish #WorldCup + if doesn’t happen #AFC will look elsewhere (not Banega). Wilshere still exploring options – nothing close

The new contract is believed to be three-year deal that also includes the Wales international would be the club’s new captain. Although, there has not been any official confirmation from the club or via a creditable source, but the Gunners new head-coach Unai Emery has yet to hand his captain armband to any player.
The BBC journalist also provided Gunners’ hopefuls about chances of the club reaching an agreement for Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira who’s current with his country’s national team at the World Cup finals in Russia. Whether the Sampdoria midfielder joins Arsenal this summer or not will only be determined how further Uruguay goes at the World cup.
The £110,000 a week midfielder had over 30 appearances for Arsenal last season in the Premier League, and he has 11 goals coupled with assists for the club. He has 58 goals in all competitions for the Gunners since his signing from Cardiff City in 2011.
