Premier League giants Chelsea FC are in a difficult situation with Eden Hazard and have reportedly decided to set an asking price of around €150million for him amid transfer interest from Real Madrid.
As we all know, Hazard is yet to sign a new contract with the club, with his current deal due to expire at the end of next season in what is becoming a big worry for Chelsea.
The Blues lost Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid on the cheap this summer and it looks like the FA Cup holders are edging towards a similar situation with Hazard.
However, it may be that Chelsea will consider cashing in earlier on him as Spanish news outlet Don Balon claim the Blues have agreed to start negotiations at €150m as they’re wary he could soon ‘force’ an exit.
This report goes on to explain that some players at Chelsea would not be too happy about this deal, it seems club president Florentino Perez is considering a move.
But having seen Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus this summer, Real Madrid could certainly do with another big star in attack.
Eden Hazard has been on fire for Chelsea in the Premier League and in all outings this season and with his contract situation at Chelsea, the Belgium international may be available for a move in January.
Hazard last week, said as quoted in the Guardian:
“I haven’t signed a contract. Not yet, not yet.
“After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different. Certainly after this World Cup,’ he was quoted by the Independent in the summer.
“I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want me to go. You know my preferred destination.”
I am a chelsea fan from my heart if only u can see it. i love hazard and i dont want him to go,
