Report coming from Italy claims if Maurizio Sarri is confirmed as new Chelsea manager, probably this week, £45m-rated Manchester City target Jorginho could join him at Stamford Bridge.
The midfield maestro has been on Pep Guardiola’s radar for entirety of this summer windows, with the Spaniard reportedly considering a move for him to help strengthen his already well-loaded midfield.
However, the arrival of Sarri at Chelsea could see the midfielder end up joining the Blues this summer instead of Man City.
Sarri and Jorginho have both been together with Napoli for the past 3 season, and a reunion could be possible this summer Chelsea.
Chelsea are in dire need of a box-to-box midfielder that will be able to assist N’Golo Kante, and launch attacking moves from deep. The signing of Jorginho to replace ageing Fabregas would bring much influence to the team and breath new life to the middle of the park.
Elsewhere, Chelsea began training for their pre-season fixtures this week with Antonio Conte. Seeing Conte led the team in training this week have cast serious doubts in fans heart as to what might going on at the Bridge after the Italian’s future has been up in the air.
