AS Roma’s and Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid and recent reports are claiming that only a fee is remaining to be agreed for the two teams to conclude the transfer of the goalkeeper.
However, no deal has been agreed so far for the goalkeeper as the club’s director of football Monchi revealed the club hasn’t received any for bid for the goalkeeper.
Liverpool, however, have also been linked with an interest in the Brazilian. Ealier this month, reports from Brazil claimed that the Merseyside have offered £57m for the goalkeeper.
Spanish outlet, is reporting that Chelsea have now joined Real Madrid in the race to sign Alisson. The Spanish tabloid report claims Chelsea are planning to lure the South American shot-stopper to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea are very close to beating Real Madrid and Liverpool to the signing of Alisson, with Marca quoting that “Alisson approaches Chelsea” over a switch to London this summer. Roma, however, are demanding mouth-watering €70m fee if they are to part ways with their goalkeeper this summer and Chelsea are believed “ready” to meet with their asking price.
Real Madrid have reported submitted a €40 million bid to Roma but this was rejected. The La Liga giants are far away from reaching Roma’s valuation for the goalkeeper, which has seen Chelsea ahead of them in getting the deal done this summer.
The report claims the FA Cup winners’ approach in signing Alisson will come as good news for Roma and bad news for the competition.
Liverpool are also thought to be willing to go above €40m, but Marca don’t state if they’re prepared to pay as much as the newspaper believes Chelsea are.
