AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has reportedly as shock transfer target for Liverpool this summer, according to reports.
During the second half of the season, Loris Karius established himself as the Reds’ number one at Anfield, but there’ve been doubts over the futures of Simon Mignolet and Danny Ward.
Report according to Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Reds may decide to move for highly-rated Donnarumma, who could be available for a transfer with Milan having missed out on the Champions League.
The young goalkeeper is considered to be one of the San Siro club most prized assets, but having already have Napoli’s Pepe Reina an option for next season, Milan could consider the sale of the 19-year-old this summer.
However, report elsewhere – Gazzetta dello Sport, admit Milan are only willing to part ways with the player who’s on €60,000-a-week payroll at Milan for a fee in the region of £60m as the youngster still has three years remaining on his contract.
Liverpool, however, may face keen competition from Paris Saint-Germain who are also said to be considering a move for the goalkeeper as they’re looking to correct their poor performance between the sticks.
