West Ham United leading Everton and Crystal Palace in the race to sign Inter Milan forward Gabriel “Gabigol” Barbosa in the January transfer window.
The report is according to Brazilian reporter who claims on his personal Twitter account that the 22-year-old “can go to West Ham” next month, and the Hammers are currently sitting in pole position to sign the striker.
As earlier reported by Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian reporter recently reported that the Hammers have been in talks to sign the Brazil international next month.
Gabigol has been in superb form while on loan at Santos, netting a total of 19 goals in 2018, however since joining Inter Milan, he has not been able to live up to expectations but would be better plying his trade with West Ham.
His move is likely to cost the Hammers a lot of money if they are able to strike an agreement next month. As reported by SambaFoot, the Brazilian is earning around £87,000-a-week on his current deal with Inter Milan and Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato reported last month that the San Siro outfits want at least £18million if they are to part ways with the prized asset.
