Chelsea most in-form star N’Golo Kante has handed his side transfer boost by rubbishing claims linking him with a summer move Paris Saint-Germain. Kante revealed this to journalist on Sunday during his post-match conference.
Kante was asked about speculations linking him to his country to join PSG and he replied via the Metro:
“I am not concerned with all that.
“Today, I am at Chelsea, and today I am currently living and playing in the World Cup, that is what comes first
“I am not paying attention to what is being said on the club side of things at the moment.”
Kante, 27, has been an important player for Chelsea since his switch two seasons ago.
The 27-year-old former Leicester City midfielder is widely acknowledge as the best ball tackler in Premier League due to his brilliant performances that’ve seen him won the Premier League title twice in a row at different clubs.
Kante’s superb performances in the Foxes title-winning season led to his £30 million move to Stamford Bridge. The France international went on from winning the title and being named the PFA Player of the Year that season.
Now according emerging reports, PSG are keen on bringing back the midfielder back to his homeland. PSG’s new head-coach is believe to be a long-time admirer of the player and views him as a key player for retiring legend Thiago Motta.
While Chelsea does not appear to selling the £54 million rated at the moment, it is believed a transfer fee worth in the region of £80m to £100 million could force them into selling the midfielder. Kante is happy with playing life in London and has committed his long-time future to the FA Cup winners.
He was an integral part of the France World Cup team that won 2-1 over Australia in their opening fixture of the tournament.
