Premier League giants Chelsea FC are yet to agree final terms with Italian champions Juventus over the signing of young defender Daniele Rugani despite the defender’s personal terms being agree between Chelsea and the player.
The Blues decision to sign a new centre-back this summer is a wise move and they would hope the signing of Rugani would improve their performance at the heart of defence next season, where the duo of Gary Cahill and David Luiz struggled to find consistent last season. That aside, the duo are in their 30s and do not like a long-term option for a club like Chelsea keen on challenging Manchester City and other for the Premier League title and Champions League football next season.
However, a tweet by Uber Chelsea on Wednesday, quoting Sport Italia, claimed Chelsea have agreed personal terms with the Juventus centre-back as a replacement for the duo and a contract of five-years is on cards but all that is left is for both clubs to enter an agreement for Rugani.

Rugani’s signing would be the best move since slice bread for Chelsea. Rugani with the Serie A champions, is not a guarantee first starter and Italy national team but anytime given the nod to play, he does perform brilliantly.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta who have been impressive at the back while Antonio Rudiger have also showed he can be a star at defence for Chelsea. With Rugani at the Bridge, Chelsea will have a strong defence options that would last them for the entire season even if bagged with injury with one or two.
at least Rugani’s signing would bring some senses for Fabregas this coming season.
