Done Deal: Pedro agrees new one-year deal with Chelsea

Chelsea fans have handed some good news as Spanish international Pedro has extended his contract with the Premier League ahead of this coming season.

This was announced on Thursday morning by the club official site confirming the former Barcelona forward had put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension with Chelsea.

Pedro since his move from Barcelona to Chelsea in 2015, had proven to be a strong figure in the rank, netting several goals along and he’s currently valued a €25M by transfermarkt.

Pedro, who stands at 5ft7″ confirmed his delight with the contract extension, saying via Chelsea.com:

“It is very good for me, I am really happy here in the club, with my team-mates, the supporters and the club in general.

“It’s important for me to continue with Chelsea, I am comfortable here and want to win new titles and trophies. I want to help the team, score goals, and I repeat, I am really happy.”

The club director, Maria Granovskaia also expressed the club’s happiness with Pedro’s contract extension, saying via Chelsea.com:

“We are very happy to secure Pedro’s services for another year. Since becoming a Chelsea player he has regularly demonstrated his quality on the field and we look forward to seeing him continue to flourish under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri.”
