Done Deal: £90,000-a-week ace confirms move, Jersey No. 10 Assigned for “£45m-rated”

Arsenal’s and Germany international Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to send a classy message to departing Arsenal teammate Jack Wilshere following the England international’s announcement that he is leaving Arsenal this summer.

Wilshere, who registered nearly 200 appearances for Arsenal in 10 years, see his contract with the Gunners expire at the end of this month.

However, a number of Premier League and Serie A clubs have reportedly shown interest in the midfielder. It’s believed, as per Arsenal blogs, West Ham United and newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers are understood to be monitoring his situation this summer.

Wilshere, have had countless farewell messages from Arsenal fans around the world and Ozil was among those that took to social media to wish him well on his new journey.

The Germany international tweeted:

“A true Gunner is leaving Arsenal. Good luck on your next adventure bro.”

Now Wilshere, who was earning £90,000 a week with the Gunners is leaving the club, Ozil will likely be handed the his preferred No. 10 shirt which Wilshere has occupied since his arrival into Arsenal’s team.

Ozil has been donning the No. 11 shirt for Arsenal since joining the club from Real Madrid in a then club-record fee of £42.5 million in 2013. Although, the German playmaker is currently rated at £45 million.

Ozil is wearing the No. 10 jersey for Germany and would be expected to don same for Arsenal starting from this upcoming 2018/19 season.
