According to reports emerging from the media, Arsenal are said to have reached some agreement to sign youngster Gabriel Martinelli.
The wonder-kid was reported to have formerly had a trail at d Trafford in 2017 with other European giants keeping a very close eye on his performance.
The 17-year-old star currently plays for Brazilian club Ituano. Reports from Brazil, however, claims that the Gunners have reached on a verbal agreement which will have them pay £5m for the young striker.
25 European clubs were reported to be keeping a close eye on the player, but the Gunners seems to have snatch up the youngster.
Martinelli has been key for his club in ending as runners-up in the Paulista Championship, playing as a first team regular, the youngster found the back of the net 10 times.
Representing the young winger, Marcos Casseb, confirms interests from Europe.
“To be honest we expected this to happen,” Casseb said to Globo Esporte.
“His evolution since last year is very fast, he is above average.
The initial planning is for him to go straight to Europe.”
Martinelli is still running on his five year deal with Ituano which is set to expire 2022.
