Premier League giant Arsenal have been reported to have officially started negotiating with French club Paris Saint-Germain, over the signing of their midfielder Christopher Nkunku, according to report from the Evening Standard.
The French midfielder, who has made a lot of sparkles in European clubs this season, have been linked with a move to join the North London outfit who will be saying goodbye to Wales International Aaron Ramsey in June.
The French youngster might just be on his way to the Emirates Stadium this summer considering a reunion with fomer manager Unai Emery, who helped him to the first team of the PSG during his short spell with the club from 2016 to 2018.
The North London club was reported to have made an offer to sign Nkunku on loan during the January winter transfer window which was later turned down and the Gunners opted to sign Barcelona attacker Denis Suarez on a short-term deal instead, according to the Evening Standard.
The report further stated that the Ligue 1 outfit have placed an asking price worth £17 million on the midfielder following their failed offer of contract extension. Arsenal should be able to match their asking price for the Frenchman, whose contract with PSG is set to expire in 2020.
Arsenal have already began talks with Christopher Nkunku over a transfer move and are confident they will be able to land the midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window with Unai Emery pleased with the midfielder’s performance last season and wants him at Arsenal next season.
