Crystal Palace and Ivory Coast international have reportedly told the club he wants to leave this summer transfer window.
Palace are not willing to let their prolific forward leave the club, but his desire to play in the Champions League might just leave them no chance, according to reports from Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old attacker has been prolific for the Eagles throughout the 2018/19 Premier League campaign as he was able to bag 10 goals and further created five assists but wants to have a bigger challenge in a top club and for a fight to win a proper trophy.
The Ivorian forward arrived at the Selhurst Park for a fee reported to be £6 million back in 2015 from Manchester United, having failed to impress the Red devils with just a year spent with the club.
Zaha believes he is very much ready to take on the challenge for a top club which prompts an explanation from him in an interview with Daily Mail in April claiming he has much more to offer to the big clubs.
“I have to experience the Champions League. I just need the opportunity, that’s it. And I’ll do the rest,” he said.
“I’m too ambitious. And not ambitious just to play for a top club, but to win things at club level and with the Ivory Coast.
“For me to be better, to achieve what I know I am capable of, I have to aim to play at the very highest level, to win trophies.
“I’m blessed to have come this far in my playing career. But I feel like there is so much more I have to offer.”
His former club Manchester United are currently linked to him alongside rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
Arsenal, however, is currently leading in the race to sign Zaha.
Wilfried Zaha is currently running on a contract with the Eagles that will end in the summer of 2023, with Palace placing a huge price of £70 million for any club willing to buy.
