Done Deal ? – Courtois replacement set to completes Chelsea move: club accepts €70m bid

Chelsea could finally lose goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the summer transfer window and in abid to get a replacement, the club have been in talks with AS Roma’s Alisson Becker for quite some time and the latest reports making rounds are intriguing.

According to Spanish news outlet Marca, it’s believed the Blues are edging closer to securing the signing of the former Samba star from Roma. Marc also mentioned that Chelsea could agree a €70million fee demanded by the Italian for the sale of the prized asset.

Marca reported that only Real Madrid have offered a fee worth €40million for the South American shot stopper and Roma rejected that move.

Last season, the goalkeeper registered 49 appearances across all compeitions for Roma, although, he conceded 47 goals and kept 22 clean sheets.

As far as his senior national career is concerned, so far, the former Internacional player has played 29 times for the Selecao and kept 29 clean sheets.

At international level so far, Alisson has played 29 games for Brazil in all outings and has kept 29 clean sheet for the Selecao.

He has also kept two clean sheets in three outings for Brazil in the on-ongoing Russia World Cup competition this summer. His national team will face Mexico in the Round of 16 and he would be looking to keep more clean sheets.
