It has been reported that Chelsea and Arsenal target Jean Michael Seri was reportedly in London to complete move to Fulham this summer.
The midfielder has been continually linked with a move to Chelsea and Arsenal this summer with the former believed to be leading the race in his signing will eventually be joining Fulham this summer.
Despite the financial power Chelsea and Arsenal are backed with – even Barcelona were close to signing him, joining Fulham would be an incredible coup for a newly-promoted club hijacking move for a player who have been on books of biggest clubs in Europe.
This report is according to Sky Sports journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, who actually made it known that the player’s proposed move to London was to join Fulham not Chelsea nor Arsenal this summer.
He also claimed Seri’s move to Fulham as a done deal, meaning the Cottagers have hijacked their local rivals to the signing of the £27m-rated.
Arsenal are believed to have given up on his pursuit having been linked with another better option in Lucas Torreira and Chelsea, on the other hand, it’s not clear whether the uncertainties surrounding their managerial situation as a result of their failed interest in the player. Either way, Jean Michael Seri won’t be playing in a Chelsea nor Arsenal shirt next season but rather in Fulham’s white and black shirt.
