Daniele Rugani looks very likely to join Chelsea this summer and Juventus, despite breaking the bank for Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing, are still in the market for new acquisitions.
Juve are planning a small revolution in their defensive area, as Rugani looks very well on joining Chelsea this summer as one of their summer signing.
In light of this, Juve are pursuing the prospect of signing Atalanta’s Mattia Caldara, and therefore, Beppe Marotta could be willing to sacrifice Rugani in order to finance some of the signings.
For this reason, it’s believed talks are ongoing between Juventus and Rugani’s agent of his move to Chelsea, where Juventus sporting director confirmed that an offer of €30-35m from Chelsea would pushed the Italian club to sell the defender.
Rugani known for his positional awareness and Aerial prowess has always been labelled a wonder kid from his youth years at Empoli. However, he has failed to reach some of those heights at Juventus despite winning multiple titles in his stay at Turin.
Elsewhere, it’s claimed Ajax’s €50m-rated Matthijs de Ligt is another player who Juve can sign as Rugani’s replacement this summer. Although, his hefty asking price is something the club’s would like to negotiate about.
