Chelsea star Fikayo Tomori, who is plying his trade at Derby County on loan, breaks a thirty year old record to become the first on-loan player to win County’s Player of the Season award.
The award which was named after club legend Jackie Stamps was given to the 21-year-old defender as he made history last night during Derby’s annual Awards night.
The 21-year-old defender recently scooped up the Supporters’ Club Player of the Season award some weeks ago which makes it no surprise as he won the fan vote for the main award.
Thank you to all the players, staff, fans and everybody involved with Derby County for this award, it wouldn’t have been possible without all of your support from the minute I got here and throughout the season. I’m honoured??.
THANK YOU ALL??. https://t.co/nhM102TShbLoading...

The young defender has been prolific for the Rams this season being the rock at the back in 49 appearances in all competitions and helping the Frank Lampard side for a push in the playoff.
Tomori and loan-mate Mason Mount has been very vital for Derby County this season, and it’s only a matter of time before they get called to Chelsea’s first team having been one of the best in the Chelsea Loan Army.
Proud of his season with The Rams, Fikayo Tomori will now be looking forward to the matches left as the team fights for a final push for the EFL Championship promotion playoffs.
You’ll never beat tomori?? congrats bro??
