Reports coming from Italy are claiming Premier League club Chelsea FC are looking to complete a €25m deal to sign Uruguay defender Matias Vecino from Inter Milan.
The report is from Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato via Sporting Witness claimed the Blues are eyeing move for Vecino as one of their first signings this summer.
The same report adds further that the club’s move for Napoli boss Maurizio as Antonio Conte replacement this summer is also on cards.
It’s also reported that Chelsea have been told to pay a transfer fee in the region of €25m (£22m) to sign the Uruguayan defender this summer.
The Blues who finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season are looking to strengthen the core of their team this summer having missed out on Champions League football for the second time in three seasons.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte did lead Chelsea to Premier League title in his first season in charge of the club and finished seven points clear at the top of the table.
However, Chelsea FC ended up in fifth spot last term but Conte’s side ended the campaign on a positive note with a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
