Arsenal and Wales international Aaron Ramsey was in superb form last season and the Gunners have been keen on tying him down to a new contract.
Ramsey current deal with Arsenal will expire next year and the London Evening Standard claimed he’s rated at 50 million pounds (€57million). Although, this would get higher once he signed a new deal with the club.
According to The Telegraph though, the Gunners are close to completing a new three-year deal for the Barcelona target after holding positive talks with him.
The British source have mentioned that the Gunners are also close to completing the signing of Uruguayan international and Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira.
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger signed Ramsey who had earlier been believed to have agreed a deal with Manchester United from Cardiff City. And over the years, Ramsey has been a brilliant acquisition under Wenger and it will be intriguing to see how he performs under new manager Unai Emery.
Last season, the Welsh international started in 21 Premier League games for the Gunners and he directly contributed in 17 goals, netting seven goals and creating 10 assists.
Overall, he has registered 32 appearances across all competition, netting 11 goals and providing 12 assists. If he does not leave Arsenal this summer and Torreira joins as well then we should the two line up in the midfield with Swiss international Granit Xhaka, who has already signed a new contract with the club.
