Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly eyeing transfer swoop this summer as the Premier League club look to take further steps towards winning major honours.
The Reds, under Klopp last season, netted 84 goals in 38 Premier League outings last season, giving the Merseysiders the second most strongest attack behind champions Manchester City.
An attack comprising of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, looked very well equipped upfront. However, the Reds need to ensure that they compete on various fronts this coming season.
Now according to The Mirror, the tabloid claimed the Reds reinforcement could come in the form of Bayer Leverkusen and Germany international Julian Brandt, who has emerged as a shock target as an alternative to former target Nabir Fekir.
Brandt has been the subject of a €60m from Liverpool and he has impressed with the Bundesliga club in all outings netting 32 goals in 172 appearances since he joined the club in 2013.
Brandt has also gone on to registering 19 appearances for Germany national team after representing the Die Mannschaft team at every youth level.
Although, Liverpool’s €60m bid remains to be seen if it’s enough to warrant his move to Anfield, as the Germany international’s ability to play on both wings would be a nice option for Klopp.
