Chelsea new head-coach Maurizio Sarri is working to get things sorted out for his new side this summer. The Italian gaffer has already taken one step with the signing of former Napoli and Italian international Jorginho and now expecting to finalize move for a new attacking midfielder in the form of Golovin from Russian side CSKA Moscow.
As confirmed by Italian journalist Matteo Pedrosi, the World Cup star, who is valued at €30million via The Sun, has agreed terms of a contract with the Premier League club and he will be joining them very soon.
However, the question is how the Blues will lineup with the likes of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Golovin, Tiemoue Bakoyoko and Cesc Fabregas next season.
Chelsea last season, mostly played in a 3-4-3 formation and that proved to be an ideal system as it brought them the Premier League title in the 2016/17 season but this past season, Chelsea were not impressive.
Sarri, however, prefers the four at the back system and he mainly utilized the 4-3-3 formation as the head coach of Napoli. We can expect him to use the same setup at the Bridge in the next campaign.
The 22-year-old, who stands at 1.78 m (5 ft 10 in), is a versatile talent, who can play anywhere in the midfield but mostly, he has played in the attacking midfield role.
Golovin is a versatile talent, who can play anywhere in the midfield but mostly, he has played in the attacking midfield role.
In such a scenario, if the do Blues do finalize the move for him this summer, we can expect him starting alongside Jorginho, and Kante in the center of the park next season. Here how the Blues lineup could be next season.
