End of Fabregas ? – Sarri and €5.5m-a-year ace heading to Stamford Bridge in “coming weeks”

Chelsea are expected to announce the signing of Maurizio Sarri as Antonio Conte successor in the “coming weeks” and it’s believed the Italian gaffer wants Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic to join him at Stamford Bridge.

Pjanic has only been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer and Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport claims Chelsea are ready to battle La Liga champions Barcelona for the signing of the Bosnia and Herzegovina international this summer.

However, Pjanic’s new deal with Juventus runs until end of June 2021 which would see his transfer fee get more hefty if he’s to leave Turin this summer. He’s reportedly earning around €5.5m years (€105,769.231 per week).

It’s believed Barcelona on the hunt for a new midfielder after the exit of Andres Iniesta earlier this summer and would battle Chelsea for the signing of Juve midfielder as their new playmaker this summer.

Although, Pjanic’s transfer would be whether Juventus wants to sign him or not and Serie A champions are also hopeful that the midfielder commits his future with the club.

Chelsea, however, still have Fabregas who is not considering leaving the club anytime soon, but the Spaniard has lack consistency as of late and this implies he cannot be relied upon at Stamford Bridge in a season where they are hoping to challenge Manchester City for the title and bring back Champions League football to the club.

And Pjanic playing alongside N’Golo Kante at Chelsea would provide the team a much greater balance against opposition team.

The 28-year-old joining Chelsea this summer would not come easy. Chelsea will be at the Europa League next season while Barcelona offer Champions League football. But if Chelsea, like we all know, can break the bank this summer for his signing, then Sarri would be have his desired target at Stamford Bridge next season.
