Celtic’s and Scotland international Kieran Tierney has been impressive star for Celtic and would be a perfect coup for Premier League side Everton.
The Toffees have been strangely out in the race to sign the Scottish man, despite their need for a new left-back at Goodison Park being well documented.
Everton’s mainstay Leighton Baines cannot be rely upon as a long-term option and is now 33, while Luke Garbutt has been down the pecking order both under Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce and appears set for a move in the summer.
But Tierney, who is a reported target for Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth according to The Sun, has not yet been linked with a move to Everton despite his outstanding performance for Celtic.
However, according to Bet Victor, the bookies have installed Everton as the 4/1 favourites to sanction bid for the Celtic’s £20 million-rated homegrown starlet this summer.
Man United and Bournemouth, who are believed to have made the 20-year-old their top target, are placed at 6/1. Tierney, who has been named SPFA Young Player of the Year three times looks like the perfect successor to Baines.
He, like Baines, plays as an attack-minded full-back who is renowed for his brilliant performance of a left-foot and pinpoint deliveries from out wide.
Tierney has 11 assists across all competition for Celtic this season and without any doubts, the Scottish man appears the best British left-back around right now.
