Fans react as Celtic star rejects new deal to complete move elsewhere

Not all Celtic fans seem happy with reports claiming that Tom Rogic has rejected a new contract offer at the club.

According to an Australian news outlet via Football Weeks, the Aussie star has rejected an offer from Celtic to extend his deal beyond 2019.

That’s a disappointing news that comes the afternoon after we watched our club lose 3-0 at the hands of Russia side Zenit to exit the Europa League.

Rogic has had a frustrating season, but has developed into an integral part of the first team over the last few seasons.

So one can understand why some fans are frustrated to read the news about the midfielder’s current decision to quit the club.

He has been at Celtic since 2013, initially struggling to break into our first team before emerging as a a top talent under former boss Ronny Deila.

Rogic’s made 99 appearances for the club, netting 23 goals in that time and helping the club to six major trophies.

However, at 25, Rogic might considering plying his trade elsewhere as he moves into his peak years and you’d have to imagine that there will be considerable interest in the Aussie if he became available.
