Jose Mourinho has highlighted Juventus’ Paulo Dybala as the player he wants his side to make the move for this summer, as Manchester United looks to set to miss out on the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Spanish news outlet Don Balon are reporting that the Portuguese boss have been considering the move for the Portuguese legend this summer and as the five-time Ballon d’Or winner looks set to join Juventus, Mourinho is urging his side to make the move for Dybala.
It’s has been earlier reported that the Serie A champions are set to offload some of their star players this window so they can raise funds for the signing of the Portuguese legend, and we could see Dybala at Old Trafford for a fee around £88M (€100M), implying that this is what the Old Lady rate him to be worth.
Dybala who is known for his dribbling skills, balance, and close control in limited spaces, as well as his ability to beat opponents and protect or hold up the ball for team-mates with his back to goal, would be a superb signing for the Old Trafford club this summer. Dybala would perfectly fit in well playing behind Romelu Lukaku in Mourinho’s 4-2-3-1 lineup.
Dybala is a versatile forward, who is capable of playing in any offensive position: The Argentina international has been deployed as a main striker, as a centre-forward, as a supporting forward, as an attacking midfielder, as a playmaker, as a false-9, or even as an inverted winger on the right flank, where he is able to cut into the centre and curl shots on goal with his stronger left foot. The Argentine, who had once been linked with Arsenal and Real Madrid, is also accurate from free kicks and penalties.
Dybala was only able to registered 22 minutes of playing time under Jorge Sampaoli at this summer’s World Cup competition in Russia, and this has not seen his value dropped, with his record of 68 goals in 140 appearances (scored 26 goals last season) in all competitions for the Serie A club reflecting that.
