Manchester United are said to be preparing a “£150 million mega” deal for the signing of Real Madrid duo Gareth Bale and Raphael Varane.
The news comes after the club announced Julen Lopetegui as their new manager, following the exit of legend Zinedine Zidane last month. Unsurprisingly, the La Liga giants are said to be very keen on signing the Red Devils David De Gea, with new reports claiming the club’s president is preparing a whooping £150 million fee for the goalkeeper this summer.
However, the Spanish club’s interest in De Gea could play a big part in how well the Red Devil succeed in their attempts to sign Bale and Varane.
It is widely reported across Spain that the Red Devils have already approached Madrid and enquired about the signing of Bale and Varane, however it seems the club were unwilling to sell the duo. But with Man United’s reported £150 million, Madrid could have a change of mind.
Varane has been a target for United since a long time, it is unlikely to see Madrid selling one of their prized assets more especially in defence, but we should know each player has their price. The same goes for the former, Bale, who we tried signing before eventually joining Real Madrid from Tottenham. It’s yet unsure whether United’s huge £150 million fee bears fruit, but what we do know is the club’s interest in the duo which is for sure.
It all remains to be seen on the transfer saga will unfold come end of the World Cup and before 9th of August when the window will shut until January.
