According to emerging reports, Tiemoue Bakayoko has reportedly been told by Maurizio Sarri he’s not part of his plans this season.
The report is according to the Daily Star, that claims the new Chelsea manager will be considering selling the Frenchman after his below-par performance for Chelsea last season.
He joined Chelsea in a £40m big-money move from Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco to serve as Nemanja Matic’s replacement at Stamford Bridge, but the France international failed to convince Antonio Conte and Blues faithfuls last season.
Bakayoko started brilliantly for Chelsea in his opening weeks at the club but had never truly recovered from the injuries woes from Monaco prior to joining Chelsea.
The injury got better of him and ruled him out of action for over a while but still couldn’t challenge for a starting role last season.
Sarri is tipped to field a 4-3-3 formation lineup next season with Chelsea and bringing with him, Jorginho to Chelsea, it is unclear what the future holds for Bakayoko.
Sarri’s 4-3-3 formation is likely going to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek starting alongside N’Golo Kante and Jorginho which will further leave Bakayoko on the bench once and while the Blues are reportedly keen on signing Aleksandr Golovin, selling the Frenchman would raise funds to sanction the move for the Russian midfielder.
