“He’d fit perfectly into Chelsea” SKY Pundit CONFIRMS striker to Chelsea transfer

Former Chelsea striker and Sky Sports pundit Tony Cascarino has revealed that he wants Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri to sign West Ham United attacker Marko Arnautovic when the window reopens in January.

Neither Alvaro Morata nor Olivier Giroud have showed any convincing performance for Chelsea this season, and the Sky pundit feels his former side would be best served with the signing of Austrian striker.

He told Sky Sports:

“You know the one player I’d really want to take? Arnautovic – I’d take him in a heartbeat.

“I think he’d fit perfectly into Chelsea.

“The thing with Arnautovic – he reminds me of that Eric Cantona mindset. He thinks he’s good enough to be up there at the top table, and he is. And maybe the challenge is West Ham? I’m not saying he should leave West Ham, but he is a guy who needs to be winning things. Arnautovic is a player capable of playing for one of the best teams in England.”

West Ham supporters really won’t want to hear this from Cascarino. They’ve only just gotten over all the speculation linking Arnautovic with Manchester United, they don’t want to have to deal with talk about Chelsea as well. From a talent standpoint, though, there is no doubt that the 29-year-old is good enough to play for one of the Premier League’s top teams.

He has phenomenal ability, he’s proved that at both Stoke City and West Ham, while his performances have got better and better over time at the London Stadium. He certainly seems as if he would be a better option for Chelsea than either Morata or Giroud, both of whom are struggling through poor seasons.

Arnautovic is physical enough to hold up the ball just as well as they do, but he has more natural talent enabling him to score more regularly than those two players. Honestly he would be a good fit for Chelsea, but West Ham fans will be praying he remains in East London for the time being.
