Manchester United have lacked consistency at full back ever since the departure of Patrice Evra from the club.
However, there is a new report that looks to put smile on Man United fans face, as report claimed the Red Devils are linked with a few quality left backs.
Reports as per France Football claimed United are looking to sign French international and Atletico Madrid star Lucas Hernandez, who is said to have a huge release clause of around £72million in his contract
Report in Spain, on the other hand suggest the Red Devils want to sign Spain international and Barcelona left back Jordi Alba.
Reports emanating from Spanish news outlet Don Balon claimed, United boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign the 29-year-old star to strengthen his back line at Old Trafford in the January transfer window. In another report from Don Balon, it is mentioned that Alba is very obsessed with a move to Man United taking into consideration his current uncertain situation at the Nou Camp.
The Barcelona left-back has been rated one of the best full-backs in the world. Alba has won every major there is to win with Barcelona in Spain and the reigning La Liga champions would want to hold on to him no matter who comes knocking.
Alba with Spain, on the other hand, has registered 66 appearances for the La Furia Roja and has eight goals to his name for the team.
Alba has until June 2020 for his current contract to expire with Barcelona and so far this new season, he has registered three appearances contributing to three goals (1 goals and 2 assists). If reports bears fruit, Jordi Alba is said to have a mouth-watering 150 million euros (£134million).
