The Croatian had been a doubt for the match against the Magpies after picking up a knock while representing his country during the international break, but he is now back to full training and will be expected to play on Saturday at the Stamford Bridge.
He was joined by his teammates, who also returned from the international break, like Mason Mount, Jorginho, Michy Batshuayi, Ross Barkley and others.
The London club will be looking to grab all three points from visitors to push them further in the Premier League table. And manager Frank Lampard will be looking to grab his second home win against the Magpies.
Chelsea currently sits at the fifth position in the English Top Flight table with 14 points in eight matches played so far gone this season. With Tammy Abraham improving in every game for Chelsea, as he has found the back of the net eight times in eight matches. Mason Mount, who has been a key player for Lampard, has scored 4 goals this season.
