New reports from media is claiming Liverpool summer target Marco Asensio would favour joining Chelsea this summer instead of ending up at the Anfield.
The report is according to a well-know Spanish news outlet Diario Gol that claims the Spain international would jump at the idea of joining Chelsea this summer due to the array of Spanish players the Blues have in their rank.
It had already been reported in the past that Real Madrid could listen to offers for the young attacker if any of his suitors can meet with the £132M (€150M) selling price.
Asensio, just entering into his 20’s (22 years) has grow old tired of having to play as a substitute in most Real’s outings and he has convinced the club on several occasions that he deserved a starting place at Bernabeu.
And despite his little playing time at Madrid, he made the Spain’s squad for the World Cup tournament in Russia, although the La Roja were knocked out by the host country at the round of 16 chapter. Asensio in 91 total appearances for Spain, has netted 21 goals with 10 assists.
If reports stating both Chelsea and Liverpool are eyeing a summer for Asensio, they will have to sanction a mouth-watering fee for his signature. And judging by the two club’s past experience in the window, one could back Chelsea meeting up with Real’s valuation for the attacker.
