According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Manchester City are considering signing Tottenham Hotspur ace Moussa Dembele this summer, with Pep Guardiola looking to strengthen his midfield options at the Etihad Staidum.
The 30-year-old has been an impressive option for Tottenham this season, but the general consensus in North London is that he has reached his peak value, and with just one year left running on his contract, now might just be the best time for Tottenham to ship him out.
Dembele joined the Lilywhites from Fulham in the summer of 2012, for a believed to be worth in the region of £15 million, and the Belgian’s since gone on to make 236 appearances.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claims that his time with Spurs could be coming to an end with Manchester City and AC Milan reportedly leading the race to sign him this summer.
According to The Sun, Tottenham value Dembele at around £20 million, and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for money.
The Belgian would be a wonderful signing for City, and he would add another layer of talent to what is an already supremely talented squad.
