James Forrest and 4 most improved Celtic players of last six months – Agreed?

Celtic might not be making the same heights they did last season after the club went unbeaten last season and clinching a treble of trophies in dramatic fashion, but there’s still been a lot to stay positive about.

Celtic sit comfortable at the top of the Premiership with eight points ahead of Aberdeen, and prepare to face Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League last 32.

The Bhoys fans will, of course, have been disappointed after having lost twice so far this season, but along with poor performances, there have been a few noteworthy games in which the Hoops boss have shown how talented they can be, both of their own and as part of the team.

Just recently, Celtic were mauled 3-1 home win over Craig Levein’s Hearts. One couldn’t help but admire some of the football on show, particularly in the first-half of the game.

Some players have really seen their game changed since August and have proven they can up for the club when it matters.

Here is Football Hitz’ five Celtic players who have improved within the last six months, in no particular order.

James Forrest

Opinions differ on the winger’s quality but he’s been a worthy squad member domestically this campaign.

He’s bagged nine goals since August and has stepped up with Patrick Roberts being out with an injury.

Kristoffer Ajer

The Norwegian youngster was given the opportunity to impress after injuries hit the team’s defence. He’s rarely looked out of place and has shown he can fit in at the back.

Olivier Ntcham

The midfielder has proven to have almost everything in his locker. His movement, vision and even finishing on occasion has benefited the team in a number of ways.

Playing alongside Brown in the holding role is a frequent set-up but he has played further forward in behind the striker too.

Odsonne Edouard

The striker joined the Hoops on loan from Paris Saint-Germain until the end of this season, with an option to buy included.

He bagged a goal on his debut back in September and has since got another five.

He has led the line as a lone striker but has also shown his talent as part of a two up front.

Eboue Kouassi

It took a while for him to get going after he joined back in January 2017. Injuries delayed his chances in the team a well as the fact that better players were being selected ahead of him.

He’s recently had a few games to show his talents and he’s rarely disappointed. At just 20 years of age, it seems like the Ivorian could go on to become a real success.
