According to reports, Monaco new boss Thierry Henry could have Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi as one of his first signing at the Ligue 1 club in the January transfer window.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the tabloid claim the Ligue 1 giants are keen on signing the English youngster, with many top talented young players leaving England to try their luck abroad due to lack or no playing available with top teams in the Premier League.
It’s also added as per the report that Monaco could be a tempting destination for Hudson-Odoi, who has not been planned of Chelsea plans this season despite for some time being rated as one of their best young stars from the academy.
Henry has just been announced as Monaco manager and having a big youngster in Hudson-Odoi, who has not been planned of the Premier League club plans this season, could be useful for the Ligue 1 side.
The Frenchman is highly rated after working on the coaching team of the Belgian national side, and Emenalo’s connections with his old club Chelsea could also give them some advantage in any deal.
Hudson-Odoi, 17, has played just five times for the senior CFC side, and could look at the likes of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson for inspiration with a move abroad, perhaps even just on loan.
