Italian midfielder Jorginho has reportedly agreed terms on a five-year deal with Chelsea following his arrival to undergo his medical ahead of a £57.4m move from Napoli.
The Brazilian born ace has been one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe this summer after his impressive four-year spell at Napoli since he joined the Napples from Verona in 2014. Jorginho was also a star player for Maurizio Sarri’s team last season that shaked Juventus all the way in the Serie A title race last season.
Jorginho has attracted interest from Manchester City all summer and one would have thought he would end up joining the league winner this summer.
However, Chelsea were one step ahead of City and hijacked their move with the London Evening Standard claiming a £57.4m fee has been agreed with Napoli and the midfielder is now believed to have flown-in to London to undergo his medical.
The British tabloid also says personal terms have been agreed with the midfielder on a five-year contract that will see him earn £102,000-a-week so long as there no late complications. Jorginho is believed to be in line to complete his move to Chelsea over the weekend.
This will also be followed with appointment of Maurizio Sarri as Antonio Conte replacement as the Italian gaffer has also arrived in London to complete his move as he gets set to take over from Antonio Conte – who was sacked earlier this week.
