JUST IN: Manchester United beating Liverpool to agree terms with £60m-rated European star

Manchester United and Edward Woodward will be set for a huge summer transfer window, with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on having a summer overhaul in his team.

The club will be going on a shopping spree in a bid to strengthen up the team and also replace players that could be departing ways with the English club this summer.

Former Everton forward Romelu Lukaku is relorted to be one of the players leaving Old Trafford having been linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan, who are both keen to secure his signature. Which has Manchester United scouting the market for a replacement.

And the man for the job is reported to have been Lille winger Nicolas Pepe. The Ivorian, who has been prolific for the his French side, dound the back of the net 20 times further created 11 assists in 34 league matches this season.

United has been reported to have sent scout to watch the Ivorian forward play and United was pleased with his performance.

However, Manchester United will have to be preparing for a battle as they will be facing head on several European giants to the signature of the prolific player.

Liverpool is said to be interested in the 23-year-old winger having made contact over the availability of the player, as Lille slapped an asking price of £60 million on the Ivory international ahead of the summer transfer window

Manchester United might just win the signature for the forward if only they are willing to a little more than Lille’s asking price and an attractive add-ons.
