Brighton and Hove Albion have been reported to be keen on signing Chelsea teenager Reece James.
But the Albion will be facing a difficult task in their hopes of signing him this summer.
James, who was prolific in the Championship, helped Wigan Athletic remain in the Football League being on loan from Chelsea.
The England player helped the Latics climb to safety in the EFL having captained the team with Brighton’s on loan goalkeeper Christian Walton.
Reports claims that Brighton are only gunning to sign the right-back on a permanent deal and not on a loan deal, which could prove to be difficilt as Chelsea transfer ban for breaching rules regarding the signing of youth players is still in the court.
Brighton are not the only club reported to be keen on the England player as giant Manchester United is also reported to be keen.
Crystal Palace is also interested in the 19-year-old right-back. But following his successful loan wih the Championship club this season the Blues are most unlikely to let him leave Stamford Bridge with their FIFA transfer ban.
During his loan spell with Wigan, James was able to bag three goals and three assists for the Championship Club, imagine what he will do with an English Top Flight team.
