Manchester City forward, Kevin De Bruyne, looked unsurprising about Alexis Sanchez swapping Arsenal for Manchester United, claiming the Premier League leaders would be just fine without the Chile international in their team.
Sanchez was being heavily linked with a move to Pep Guardiola’s team and even came mighty close to joining the Citizens. However, a late move for a replacement by Arsenal saw him remain at the club for the first half of the season which has seen him join Manchester United. Sanchez has allegedly signed a blockbuster deal with the Old Trafford club, which none of the competitors was offering.
Kevin De Bruyne, who is in scintillating form the Citizens this season, didn’t look too unfazed about his side missing out on him and claimed they would still work towards reaching their goal this season.
De Bruyne, as quoted by Goal.com said:
“It doesn’t matter,”
“We will still do what we need to do, with or without him. He chose United. Okay, there are a lot of good players. If they want to come, they want to come, and otherwise we will do it with our team.”

Guardiola’s team unbeaten run in the Premier League was stopped by Liverpool but they still have managed to keep themselves 12 points ahead of their arch-rivals and second-placed in the league table. De Bruyne meanwhile, recently signed a new contract with the club that will see him remain at the Etihad until 2023.
