Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this night bagged an amazing hat-trick as Arsenal defeats Valencia in a 4-2 victory as they move on to the Europa League final
Valencia took the opener through attacker Kevin Gameiro slots home and early goal, but the Gunners recovered quickly as Aubameyang equalised right after.
The North Londoners were able to take the lead in the second half through Alexandre Lacazatte, who bagged a brace in the first leg, making their path to the Europa League final less stressful.
Gameiro found the back of the net again to make it 2-2 and 10 minutes later Aubameyang scored his second goal in the game and in the 88th minute he scored again to make it his hat-trick for the night pushing the score line to 7-3 on aggregate.
After the game Lacazette and Aubameyang was interviewed by BT Sport:
On what it means to reach the final
Aubameyang said: It means a lot. We’ve learned from last season. This year we didn’t make the same mistakes, we’re through to the final and we’re happy.
About the character that inspired the win
Lacazetter said: We reacted well, we knew we had to score a minimum of one goal today. Thanks Auba for the hat-trick, he was unbelievable tonight. Thank you, bro.
About playing together
Auba said: We enjoy it a lot. We talk a lot about that relationship already so it’s a pleasure to play with him, with this team. Above all, when you win games like this you feel very, very good.
Tough season
Laca said: We want to go to the Champions League, we want a trophy, we played bad in the last month in the Premier League so we have to be better now. We go to the final and we have to use this opportunity to win and to go to the Champions League.
If it matters the team they face in the final
Laca said: Now it’s the final, it doesn’t matter which team [Chelsea or Frankfurt]. We have to give everything in the final and win it.
